Welcome to the author interview of Australian Author, Tricia Stringer.

TriciaStringer

Meet Tricia 🙂

Tricia has published five titles to date, with more on the way. I was lucky enough to get a copy of her newest book Heart of the Country from Harlequin. I haven’t got to it yet, but it sounds exciting.

HeartOfTheCountry

Synopsis: Heart of the Country is the first book in an epic historical saga of three Australian families. Spanning several generations, this epic tells the story of the Baker, Smith and Wiltshire families forging their paths in a land both beautiful and unforgiving.

Lives are intertwined by love and community then ripped apart by hate and greed but remain always bound to the land they love…

1846. Newly arrived from England, Thomas Baker is young, penniless and alone. Eager to make his mark on this strange new place called South Australia, he accepts work as an overseer on a distant sheep property, believing this will be the opportunity he seeks. But when Thomas’s path crosses that of ex-convict, Septimus Wiltshire — a grasping con man hell bent on making a new life for himself and his family at any price — trouble is on the horizon.

But Thomas is made of stern stuff and his fortunes take a turn for the better when he meets spirited farmer’s daughter Lizzie Smith, and soon he envisages their future together.

But this land is like no other he has encountered: both harsh and lovely, it breaks all but the strongest. When his nemesis intervenes once more and drought comes, Thomas finds himself tested almost beyond endurance with the risk of losing everything he and Lizzie have worked for… even their lives.

So keep an eye out for my review in the coming weeks 🙂

Marie Treanor Review-a-thon Week

A little while ago, I read and reviewed a number of Marie’s books in the Blood Hunters Series. This is the sequel series to Marie’s first trilogy, Awakened by Blood, which I haven’t read. I still found the stories stood up on their own merit without needing the reader to know the history.

This next week will be a showcase of each of these reviews.

If you haven’t tried anything by Marie, give book 1 a try today, it was quite enjoyable. Especially if you enjoy paranormal romance with vampires.

About Marie

about-marie

Marie Treanor lives in Scotland with her eccentric husband, three much-too-smart children and a small puppy who rules them all. Having grown bored with city life, she resides these days in a picturesque village by the sea where she is lucky enough to enjoy herself avoiding housework and writing sensual stories of paranormal romance and urban fantasy – with a bit of science fiction and time travel thrown in.

Marie is the award winning author of over forty sexy paranormal romances – Indie, New York and E-published. Since childhood, she has always written stories, at first secretly and for her own amusement, later with more serious intention to earn a living by writing. After working as a researcher and a librarian, she was lucky enough to have her first romances, Ghost Unlaid and Queen’s Gambit, immediately accepted by an e-publisher in 2004. Since then, she has published continuously, most notably with NAL, Samhain, Changeling Press, Ellora’s Cave and The Wild Rose Press. She now writes full time.

In 2010, she made her New York publishing debut with Blood on Silk, first of the award winning Awakened by Blood vampire romance trilogy. Reviewers have described her undead anti-hero Saloman as the best vampire in the genre. Most recently, she has been trying her hand at self-publishing, with three new paranormal romance series, Serafina’s, The Gifted, and Blood Hunters (a sequel series to Awakened by Blood).

When not writing, Marie can generally be found among the chaos of her family, or walking the dog on the beach in all weathers.

She loves to travel and meet new people. She also loves to hear from readers!

It’s that time of the year again, when I pledge to read and review at least 10 Autralian Women Writer’s books.

This year I’m planning to read some of the more well known authors as I’m incorporating a number of them into another reading challenge.

You’ll see the likes of Tara Moss, Keri Arthur, and Kylie Chan. They will however be rubbing shoulders with some of my favourite Indie AWW authors too, like Tahlia Newland, Alison Stuart, and Georgina Anne Taylor.

If you haven’t signed up yet, you can by visiting the AWW website.
