Review: Tears into wine

TearsIntoWine

2 stars

Read on June 25, 2015 — I own a copy

Synopsis: There is currently no synopsis… here’s one reviewers take: The story is about a teenage boy who falls in love with a mysterious slightly older teenage girl and their annual winter romance over the course of several years.

Bookish Things: 6 pages. The cover screams poor quality and self-published.

Where to buy: Amazon on kindle for $1.44

My Review:

Bookshelves: 2-star-review, fantasy, romance-ish, something-missing, too-short

Tears to Wine is a very strange short story.

Told by a young male protagonist, the story unfolds as if he is telling us his memory of the events. It provides a lot of information, but doesn’t show the reader very much outside of what is written on the page.

The whole story is rather sad, with some lovely prose speckled throughout.

I didn’t love it or hate it, but I also wasn’t very drawn to it, which is why this gets only two stars from me.
