Read from January 14 to 15, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1

Synopsis: Get a FREE sneak peek at the first four chapters of New York Timesbestselling author Sarah J. Maas’ thrilling and seductive new series, which blends Beauty and the Beast with faerie lore.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin–one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin–and his world–forever.

Perfect for fans of Kristen Cashore and George R. R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

Bookish Things: A delicious looking cover with vivid colours to draw your eye, this fits quite nicely with the story.

Where to buy: The eSampler is free, the full book is $6.09 on kindle from Amazon.

My Review:
Bookshelves: 4-star-review, fantasy, read-sample-buy-booksummer-challenge, too-short, ya, amazon-freebie

So I got the free sample from Amazon, it’s the first few chapters of the book due for release in May 2015.

It teases you into wanting to read the rest of the book – and read it I shall, but not until much later in the year when I can purchase it.

It has whet my appetite for Sarah’s writing style. It’s simultaneously flowing and descriptive but also tells you just what you need and no more.

A brilliant glimpse into what will surely be a great book.
